Blue Reflection

from $350.00

Over the years, I have visited Japan around seven times, and each visit has left a lasting impression on me. The country is truly incredible, renowned for its rich culture, exquisite design, and the thoughtful manner of its people. This particular image, which I created while in Sendai, Japan, using medium format, captures a serene and zen-like essence that resonates deeply with the spirit of the location. I traveled there with a friend from Los Angeles, who spent her childhood in the region, adding a personal connection to my experience.

I had the opportunity to showcase this image in an exhibition held in Los Angeles called QUAKE in 2011, which I curated specifically to raise funds for the recovery efforts following the devastating earthquake and tsunami that wreaked havoc on Sendai and other affected regions. All $4000 of profits from the group exhibition I sent to Habitat for Humanity.
