David Lynch loves coffee and cigarettes. I love how this image seems conversational. This image is one from a memorable portrait session with Lynch at his wonderful home near Mulholland Drive complete with movie cinema, audio recording and fine art studio. I made some very personal portraits of the artist at work in his studio where he was working on a resin eyeball for a sculpture or three dimentional art piece. I was shown up to his private work space where it was him and I only making a series of portraits, just how I like it simple and without fuss. The set of pictures shows his focus and concentration for his fine art work which all feeds his filmmaking and broad artistic life.
